Come and join me for a space to relax and rejuvenate. We start with gentle bodywork and listening to arrive together in the space and leave behind the day’s stresses and strains. Then we lie down to receive the Sound Journey. Bring a mat/blanket to be comfortable and warm.

MERYC England in-person meeting in collaboration with the Royal College of Music and Sound Connections

I will be running a Deep Listening session at this event, and our band The Drones will offer a lunchtime concert. If you don’t know MERYC England, they explore research and practice in early childhood music education.

The day will include practical activities and discussions on

  • Vocal health
  • Improvisation in its many forms
  • How, when, and when not to use our performing skills in sessions
  • How to incorporate children’s own spontaneous music making in sessions
  • Presentations on research being carried out at RCM

There will also be the option to attend the lunchtime concert “RCM Sparks Family Concert: A Musical Voyage” or other optional activities.

Spaces for the RCM Sparks concert will be limited – look our for an email to follow with information about lunchtime activity options and how to sign up.
